An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Technical Project Manager to join a prestigious and well established software house in Bristol who create intuitive software applications for some of the world's most high profile clients in complex domains. Thy hold an impressive portfolio of customers in a number of industry sectors on a global remit.
The business is currently expanding, therefore they are looking for a Technical Project Manager who will focus on new customer growth, take ownership of relationships and end to end project delivery by leading teams and staying close to the development process. You will demonstrate a clear passion for technology and will need a history of working with software developers distributed across a number of sites on a daily basis.
This is a hands-on, client facing role which combines deep technical knowledge with the ability to clearly communicate technical matters. You should have strong commercial experience in a significant software based technical project management role and have a track record of managing multiple software development streams. Strong technical expertise in modern object-orientated software development technologies is a must (such as Java EE, .NET or HTML5) and the full software development process. You will have strong stakeholder management skills in order to build robust and effective relationships and be able to motivate and manage of software development teams. Hands on experience of managing projects based on Agile methods, preferably Scrum is essential and you will need to have an understanding of the governance required of enterprise-level projects.
You will need to travel between other offices as well as client sites within the UK and overseas when required.
