My client, an innovative and fast expanding company based in Swindon are looking for a Service Desk Analyst to join their IT team. The main purpose of this role is to help employees around the business to be productive in providing first and second line support and excellent customer service, ensuring that the IT Infrastructure, desktop systems, voice network, services and software are supported to the required service levels.


- If required finding temporary work-around and proposing long-term solutions.
- Diagnosing hardware, software and networking issues, and where possible and resolving them immediately.
- Looking for and demonstrating a commitment to continuous service improvement by increasing the ability to fix IT Issues first time by collaboration and innovation.
- To keep a careful track of all enquiries ensuring issues are always resolved to the satisfaction of the users.
- Providing training at a basic level to end users to help them make productive use of IT resources.
- Understanding complex issues and articulating them in detail to the appropriate people to ensure they can be resolved to satisfaction.
- Maintaining good relations with external IT supplier’s.

Skills and Requirements:-

- Strong understanding & knowledge of the latest Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of how to manage server roles (DNS, DHCP, AD, GP, Print Server, Hyper-V, IIS).
- Understanding of Virtualisation and Storage Platforms.
- Good knowledge of Office 365.
- Good reasoning, problem solving and diagnosis skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to allow easy interaction with people within the business.
- An ability to create clear and concise documentation.
- Full, valid and clean Driving Licence.
