This is a challenging opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the team reporting to the Maintenance Engineer. You will be responsible for maintaining all manufacturing and utility equipment to support the manufacture of bulk pharmaceuticals and intermediates. You will ensure that maintenance tasks are executed in compliance with the technical, safety, health & environmental and operational quality requirements of the manufacturing processes and services.

Key responsibilities:

  • To maintain all process and service equipment to support the manufacturing activities. This maintenance can be both breakdown and planned preventative maintenance.

  • To maintain safety equipment in line with SHE requirements.

  • Install, maintain and inspect all types of hazardous area equipment associated with process plant.

  • To work collaboratively across and with all Engineering disciplines to ensure effective and timely completion of the maintenance tasks.

  • To work closely and collaboratively with the Manufacturing Department to ensure effective and timely completion of the maintenance tasks to meet the manufacturing demands.

  • To observe safe and compliant working practices with respect environmental, health and safety matters and cGMP.

Are you the ideal candidate?

  • City & Guilds 2382-15 17th Edition Wiring Regulations

  • Compex National Certificate of Core Competence Modules EX01 to EX04

  • City & Guilds 2394 / 2395 Inspection and testing

  • City and Guilds level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

  • Ability to work and as part of a team and attend call outs (Flexibility to work shifts may be required in the future)

  • Experience in a GMP fine chemical or related industry would be desirable, but not essential as training will be given.

  • Experience in using Computerised Maintenance management systems (CMMS)

  • Experience within a manufacturing environment
