Projects Engineer – Lowestoft, Suffolk – Excellent Package

Our client is one of the world's leading providers of specialised subsea pipeline protection systems to oil and gas , renewables and civil marines sectors. Their products support, protect and stabilise all kinds of subsea installations, world-wide. They have asked Badger Associates to identify a top-class Projects Engineer as the business continues to expand.

The Projects Engineer will work with the Technical team to provide best technical and commercial solutions for project RFQ’s and quote requests using the correct drawings / alteration of existing drawings to suit client requirements. The successful applicant will effectively provide quotes and bids for clients and follow these up as appropriate to provide best service and solution on any bid or proposal by working directly with clients.

The Projects Engineer will assume responsibility and be accountable for planning, executing and managing assigned projects companywide by interfacing between client and production teams, to include procurement, production timetables and logistics to ensure the safe, effective and efficient delivery of the project within its technical and commercial requirements. You will be able to take a lead role in managing and overseeing all projects in the UK or overseas by understanding what needs to be done and who is doing it, stepping in to ensure correct information and costs are communicated and all deadlines are met to ensure best result for the company and their client.

To be considered for this role you will have:

At least three to five years relevant industry and project management experience.

You will need a civil engineering qualification and experience and your CV will show you have experience handling client accounts.

You may well be working toward EngTech Technician status and have Auto CAD level 3 experience. A Project Management qualification would be considered very beneficial as would some quantity surveying experience. Ideally your background will be in oil & gas, renewables or civils.

It is important to understand that our client is an SME and as such operates in a different manner to large oil and gas corporations. Team working is essential as is the ability to operate on one’s own initiative and with minimal supervision. Those used to operating by a manual and to a set of rigid guidelines may find that this role is unsuitable for them.

The role has an attractive starting salary that reflects the importance of the role and is likely to be within the range £27,000 to £33,000 plus benefits.
