Due to substantial growth over the last year and perceived potential for continued development our client, a leading manufacture within the Sports and Events Industry, is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive forward new business sales and identify new areas of profitable opportunity. As a leader in their field, this business manufactures and distributes high quality products throughout the UK to a range of high profile professional and recreational events.

As a Business Development Manager you will be expected to identify, negotiate and close new sales with clients from a range of sporting backgrounds. In this respect our client will be looking for individual who already have experience of high end sales development within the sports industry. Networking, contacts and perseverance will be key to the success of this role.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and follow up potential new leads

  • Attending client meetings to pitch for business

  • Submitting detailed sales proposals to prospective clients

  • Drawing up outlined contracts for admin department

  • Attending industry relevant exhibitions and trade shows

  • Growing a network of integral sports industry contacts

  • Achieving sales in line with targeted increased revenue

  • Liaising with Client Account Manager for on-boarding of new clients

  • Attending senior management meetings for sales updates

The ideal candidate would be someone who has experience of a similar commercial business development management role and an events/sports background would be highly advantageous. You will be driven to succeed, goal orientated, target focused and have impeccable attention to detail to present the business in the best possible light.
