.NET Tech Lead required by the firm that Microsoft used to trial their new technologies and who are in currently building a new 'Engineering First' team within their already established development function. This team will sit separate to the main hub of the organisation and focus their attention on:
The complete redesign and development of the existing platforms to a cloud-hosted, Microservices environment
Ensuring that moving forward new technologies released by Microsoft (be it on a test-trial basis with Microsoft OR beta) are adopted early with a view to deploying across the business.

This new team will eventually be circa 20 strong and include Tech Leads, Senior Dev's, Dev's, QA, Devops Product Owners and Scrum Masters. This function will follow a strict Agile Scrum approach to all projects and adopt an 'engineering mindset' to all projects that are scheduled for the next 3 years.

The Tech Lead role is awesome!!!! You're the person who is involved in designing and truly shaping the project from the get-go. You'll be liaising with senior members of the business, working with your team to define the requirements, design and architect the proposed solution and then work with your team to build it. This is very much a hands on role working with your team to ensure deliverables are met to the highest possible standards. Although these are all Cloud-hosted projects, you don't need prior Cloud experience we know that asking for this (at least at the level we expect) will be too limiting so are happy to invest a lot of time and training in this area.

What do we need to see though from interested parties includes:

Incredibly high coding standards we're not interested in releasing sub-standard code, we want excellence
An engineering mindset absolutely essential that we create this team with true engineers who will lead with this mentality from the front
Prior experience in a Tech Lead capacity where you have been involved in truly shaping a product from a tech perspective including designing solutions and contributing heavily towards architecture.
Agile we need you to be an ambassador of Agile Scrum Concepts and lead from the front
Excellent knowledge of how the internet works sounds odd, but this is key if we're going to focus on developing your Cloud experience further, so http Protocols aere key.
Tech: Background in Microsoft technology we're not too fussy on specific tech as good engineers learn quickly, but as an example C#, MVC, .NET Core, API, OOD, TDD,SOLID

This project team is a huge investment on our part. These senior hires are key. We are looking for the best we're expecting that in the next year this team be leading the way in terms of standards set across our organisation and the large ecosystem as a whole.
