Sales Executive - Builders Merchants
West and North Yorkshire
£25,000 to £37,500, A4/3 Series Company Car, Pension, Bupa, Mobile, Laptop

My client is a hugely successful family owned group of companies, providing products, services and materials to the construction industry across the Yorkshire region.
As a customer focused company, they offer an easy one-stop shopping experience for their customers, who range from professional tradesmen to the domestic needs of local DIY customers. Their aim is to be the first port of call for building supplies from concrete foundations right up to the roof, through to doors and windows and all the essentials necessary to finish the interior - including kitchens and bathrooms.

Key Responsibilities:-

* Maintain and grow a portfolio of customers with (potential) min. annual spend level
of £5000.
* Identify business opportunities by assessing prospects and evaluating their position in
the industry; researching and analysing sales options.
* Sell products and maximise margin by establishing contact and developing relationships
with prospects; recommending solutions.
* Take joint responsibility for branch sales budgets.
* Maintain relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance;
researching and recommending new opportunities; delivering profit and service

In order to be considered for the role, candidates MUST HAVE the following skills and experience:-

* Proven experience of successfully selling products into Builders Merchants
* Ability to plan, prioritise and organise own workload.
* Ability to work under pressure and to tight schedules.
* Must be PC literate.
* Experience in customer service and builders merchants.
* Competent in dispute resolution
* Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Must be self-motivated, have strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to solve
problems at source.
* Must possess excellent organisational skills and good time management.
* Must be self-driven, genuine with a positive attitude and clear focus.
