Audit Semi-Senior - Richmond - £25-£30,000

Our client, a multi partner practice based in Richmond are looking for an Audit Semi-Senior.

The Role:
* Working with a Senior Manager to help maintain a portfolio of clients (the portfolio consists of a number of entertainment clients so experience in this sector would be an advantage).
* Typical tasks required: accurate maintenance of basic books and records, including cash book; payroll; VAT; accurate preparation of accruals and prepayments; accurate reconciliation of all key control accounts; preparation of reconciled trial balance; and preparation of draft sole trader, partnership and company accounts.
* Able to form good relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
* Working with colleagues and clients to gather information needed for the preparation of tax returns.
* Paid study support in accordance with the firm's training policy.

The Candidate:
* Current early stage studier (ACCA, AAT, ATT, CTA) with at least two years Practice experience gained in a small to medium sized firm.
* Must be competent in preparing accounts (sole trader, partnership and company accounts) to review stage based on incomplete books and records - the interview process will consist of questions to establish the level of competency in accounts preparation from incomplete books and records.
* Appreciation of personal tax and the interaction between accounts work and personal tax returns an advantage.
* Ability to work closely with a Senior Manager within the group providing support in the maintenance of his portfolio.
* Strong academic history required and first time passes in professional exams preferable. Degree standard education not a requirement.
* Exemplary team player with a positive, client focused attitude.
* Competent on computers and associated software. Working knowledge of CCH and MS Office products, especially Excel, a strong advantage.
* Excellent administrative, organisational and communication skills, good spoken and written English are necessary conditions of employment.
* Working to high levels of accuracy within defined deadlines.
