An international Architectural practice is looking for an Associate/ Senior Architect to work at their offices London (SE1). Due to large expansion and increased in-take of projects, they are looking for enthusiastic architects to join their team. You will be directly supporting the London Director, so will be second in command for the London office.
You will ideally be a fully qualified (RIBA/ ARB) Architect with around 10 years' total experience and previous leading roles. You will be working on high-end residential projects, so past experience in this project type is essential. You will be taking on large-scale projects from concept through to detailed design stages, although, seeing it through to site may be required. You will be reporting to the director and leading small teams.
As well as having a 'hands-on' approach and getting involved with all stages, business development is going to be a big part of this role. You need to have extensive experience working on London for at least 5-7+ years. You must have knowledge of what's going on in London, who to work with and which clients are best. With the Director being on site a lot, or meeting with clients, you will be helping to run the office, so you need to have managed over 15 people in a group at any one time. Therefore, you ought to be able to quickly gain managerial respect. Due to retirements etc., this role has the opportunity to lead to directorship within a few years.
You will have/ be;
- A minimum of 7+ years' experience in total
- Previous experience on high-end residential projects on a large scale
- Strong AutoCAD, and ideally Revit skills (but training will be provided for the right candidate)
- Team-leading experience
- Excellent design abilities
- Worked on large-budget projects
- Able to work in a team, and delegate as and when needed
- Proficient knowledge of UK building regulations, having worked in the UK for around 5 years' minimum.
