About us

We are the independent elections watchdog for the UK. We are responsible for the effective administration of UK elections and referendums, for political party registration and for the regulation of political party finances and funding arrangements.

The Role

You will be supporting with the delivery of a range of Electoral Commission programmes and projects. Giving you the opportunity to work with colleagues across the organisation to support with reporting, including the monthly management report and audit recommendation work. You will work on data visualisations for a range of information to be included in corporate documentation. You will be a point of contact for colleagues to give guidance on the Commission’s programme and project management process.

Who we are looking for

  • You will have practical experience of working in a project or programme environment in a support capacity.

  • You will be competent at data collating and reporting.

  • You will have experience with spreadsheets and project management software and it would be highly desirable if you have worked with Microsoft Project.

  • You will be great at building relationships across the organisation with strong written and oral communication skills.

  • You will have excellent prioritisation skills with the ability to manage several different tasks and organise your workload effectively.

  • You will have excellent IT skills including MS Excel and preferably Microsoft projects.
