Technical Product Manager: JavaScript, Digital Transformation

Summary:

An exciting technology start-up having a major project to manage the digital transformation of their high profile client and are currently looking to strengthen their team with a Technical Product Manager. This is a heavily strategic role, working closely with customers and clients to improve the software platform and flagship product. The Technical Product Manager role is also very technical as it will be responsible for the UX of the platform, working closely with the JavaScript Engineers to ensure that the customer journey and User Interface is exceptional.

The role of Technical Product Manager for this team would be best suited for someone with a background in Web Development predominantly using Front end technologies and ideally modern JavaScript frameworks. It is a great opportunity to maintain a fairly hands-on technical role, focused on quality UI and UX principles, but also be client facing and have a truly measurable impact on the success of the company.

Responsibilities:

- Be responsible for the UX and customer journey of the UI layer

- Work closely with clients and customers to gather requirements and create solutions

- Offer technical expertise and hands-on help on the front-end of the platform, including use of HTML, CSS, AJAX, Jquery and JavaScript

- Be involved in all elements of growing a successful software organisation, including Business Development, Account Management, Client and Customer management/liaison

- Work closely with senior management/founders to decide on business and technical strategy

- Work closely with software engineers using JavaScript and modern UI technologies

Skills:

- Solid experience of Web development and a passion for quality UX design

- Experienced within a technology, software or digital domain and experience of working within various business areas

- Strong knowledge UI development tools such as HTML, CSS, AJAX, JSON, Jquery and JavaScript

- Experience of working closely with clients and customers, include requirement gathering and documentation

- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, and at all levels

- A passion for emergent technologies and the software start-up industry

- Ideally some formal experience as a Business Analyst, Project Manager, Product Manager, Technical Analyst or Web Producer

Salary:

Around £40,000 - £50,000 with some definite negotiability for the right person. There is also future prospects for equity and new/exciting ventures.
