Fantoo is on a mission to disrupt the corporate messaging space with its smart messaging platform, which helps cut out everyday noise and clutter to provide better time management and bring focus to teams who like to get things done.

We’re a well-known start-up based out of Dell’s UK HQ and we’re lucky enough to be working with some of the largest names in business - including Dell and Microsoft. We are a team of passionate and knowledgeable software developers, graphic designers and UX designers - all of us responsible for design, implementation, testing and delivery of amazing software.

The Job

As a Quality assurance engineer, your responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Working closely with other software developers to actively contribute to the suite of automated tests
  • Exploratory testing of the web and mobile products to identify defects and bugs
  • Taking ownership of the quality assurance process and evangelizing the importance of quality to your colleagues
  • Acting as a key stakeholder and decision maker in the production release process
  • Creating detailed test plans
  • Identifying risk and creating plans to mitigate them
  • Interacting with internal and external users to understand and prioritize incoming bug reports
  • you will be working on an ongoing development project there for you will be required to get up to speed with the requirement very quickly

Skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT (or similar)
  • 2 + years Experience working in a similar position would be an advantage
  • Competency in one or more of: AngularJS, Java, Scala, Swift (experience in more than one would be an advatage)
  • Can demonstrate they have a highly detail-oriented approach about the quality of their work
  • Experience of learning new technologies and are motivated to continue learning
  • Can demonstrate they have a creative and inquisitive mind to identify and resolve defects
  • Can demonstrate they have excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Experience writing automated tests
  • Experience working with Single Page Applications
  • Mobile development/testing experience
  • Understanding of Scrum or other Agile methodologies
  • Experience working with third party API's
  • Working with JIRA

Package

  • Paying between £28-£32k depending on experience
  • Minimum 40 hours per week
  • 20 days paid holiday annually
