The Property Franchise Group (TPFG) is one of the UK’s largest estate agency networks operating under 6 brands, circa 400 branches and over 2,000 staff.

After a game-changing 2016, during which we purchased the ambitious and hugely popular EweMove - a technology-led 'online’ estate agent - we realised that technology is the next stage of evolution for TPFG. We’ve already picked up some of their expertise, but there’s still more to do.

That’s where you come in. Our in-house team now needs an extra pair of hands (and a new brain) to take us to the next stage of our growth.

We’re on the lookout for a free-thinking, creative and 'outside-of-the-box’ Systems Developer to join the ranks and help us create and deliver a set of new, unique, self-made solutions to better our customer experience across the whole Group.

What we want:

  • Hands-on problem-solver
  • Willing to experiment
  • Gets a buzz from finding new solutions
  • Focused on ease of use
  • Hates inefficiency

Whilst many of our competitors are happy to operate using 'off the shelf’ vanilla solutions, we prefer to use these sparingly if our competitors are also using them. This is why we’re so keen on having someone who can create something just for us.

The best bit is, you don’t need any specific skills / experience or qualifications in - it’s your personality and approach that are the real barometer for this role. We need someone whose first inclination when faced with a new technology or development platform / language is to hit the forums, roll up their sleeves, and see what they can work out for themselves!

You will need some technical skills, though, including:

  • Understanding business workflows and how they can drive, manage and control user actions, behaviours and outcomes
  • A good understanding of normalised database
  • Ability to structure and manage data in a logical manner
  • Ability to understand complex data sets and their relationship with real life situations
  • Understanding importance of strong data protection and IT security
  • Recognising the need for robust testing and ongoing performance monitoring
  • Use of simple web based technologies (HTML, PHP, python, jQuery, JavaScript and SQL)

Familiarity with some of the following cloud based solutions and services would also be beneficial, but not essential: Quickbase, Hubspot, Infusionsoft, SurveyMonkey, Promoter.io, Google apps, Google calendars, Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms, and connecting / integrating solutions using tools like Zapier, Webhooks, Workato and typical restful API integrations.

If you are looking for a new role, where your technical abilities and imagination will be challenged to help us make a real difference, then this is the right job for you.
