Accounts Payable Assistant

Key responsibilities of the role will include but are not be limited to:
Ensure all invoices are matched to orders and goods received documentation or authorised appropriately
Uphold strict disciplines in relation to internal authorisations
Hold or release invoices for payment in accordance with agreed supplier terms and internal controls
Review all vendor statements and reconcile as needed
Maintain appropriate ERP database
Keep appropriate accounts processes and work instructions up to date
Ensure timely resolution or escalation of invoice and payment queries
Maintaining and controlling vendor returns
Arrange and process vendor payments
Although accounts payable experience is desired, my client is open to looking at candidates who are perhaps studying AAT and looking to start a career and get the first step on the ladder. Full AAT study support is offered and an internal network will be created to assist with the studying and exam preparation to ensure your development is as efficient as possible.
Our client is well known for its generous benefits package, including a great holiday allowance, fantastic and productive atmosphere within the office and a starting salary of between £20,000- £24,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
