Job Type: Full Time, Permanent 
Salary: £43-50K per annum

About the role: 

They are seeking a Network Engineer based in Chiswick, West London to join their Group IT Team. 


- Provide analytical support in the development, installation, implementation, testing, evaluation and administration of the local and wide area networks; to install, configure, test and support a variety of network components and devices; to perform preventive maintenance on network segments and components; and to perform a variety of duties relative to assigned area of responsibility. 
- Work and liaise with other operations teams and the wider technical community in order to diagnose and fix service affecting issues. 
- Work and liaise with other operations teams and the wider technical community on design, implementation, and transition to BAU operation of new network infrastructure. 
- Ensure that all network platforms remain highly available and secure, including governance of third-party networks that are involved in the provision of their services. 

About you: 

- Current, industry recognised, advanced certification, ideally Cisco CCNP Routing / Switching and voice. 
- Experience of the design and operation of Cisco IPT systems and contact centres. 
- Cisco ASA - Access list / Firewall administration. 
- Understanding of principles and practices of computer science and information systems. 
- Detailed understanding of operations, service and activities of local and wide area network systems. 
- Detailed understanding of operational characteristics of a variety of computer systems, applications, hardware and software. 
- Methods and techniques of installing network hardware and software. 
- Demonstrable understanding of the principles and practices of local area network administration. 
- Demonstrable understanding of the principles and practices of troubleshooting network problems. 
- Network Applications / Protocols - Familiarity with DHCP, DNS, FTP, TFTP, SSH, Radius, TACACS. 
- Knowledge of Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers. 
- Experience of working with Network monitoring / management tools. 
- Experience operating in a change control and configuration management environment. 

You may have experience of the following: Network Engineer, Cisco, CCNP, IT, Information Technology, Network Support Engineer, CCNP Network Engineer, Network Architect, Wireless, LAN, Network Infrastructure Engineer, CCNA, Cisco Network Engineer etc.
