The Role
As a Service Delivery Manager, working for a growing Telecommunications company you will be responsible for the day to day management and development of a small yet growing team of Order Delivery Managers. You will have previous people management experience, ideally in an ISP/Telecoms environment however candidates with strong people and team management skills from the IT service provider sector will also be considered. You'll need to understand how connectivity works and the general process of how it works with service provision to customers in ISP / Telecoms but assuming that fundamental knowledge, then we are happy to talk.

You will be responsible for helping structure and implement Service Delivery Management, Customer Experience Management and Process Design, Development and Improvement.

Telecoms Industry awareness is ideal therefore any exposure to Ethernet leased lines, EFM, MPLS, VOIP, SIP and datacentre services is highly advantageous. We're not saying that you have to tick the box on every technology but the ideal person will come from either a telecoms, IT or ISP company.

As a Service Delivery Manager you will be involved in the following duties:

*Day to day management of the Service Delivery team
*Scheduling workloads
*Acting as an escalation point from the Service Delivery Team
*Personal development of the team, conducting monthly one to ones
*Process improvement, looking at opportunities for this as well as local working practices
*Reviewing suppliers performance
*Monitoring sickness absences and managing any issues if required
*Contributing to the on-going development of the wider Service Delivery function
*Championing and owning wider business and cross functional Service Improvement activities
*Contributing to Customer Service Reviews both on and off site

The Requirements
As a Service Delivery Manager you will have at least 2 years experience in a people management role, ideally from an ISP/Telecoms background. You will ideally have provisioning knowledge of Ethernet and Connectivity services as you'll be dealing with suppliers, performance, delivery of processes and monthly service reviews but this is not essential so long as you can point to the sector knowledge and principles of connectivity background.

You will be a strong communicator with a natural aptitude for leading a team and will have previously been involved in improving processes and procedures.

You'll have a passion for Service Improvement and project management skills, ideally working with Prince 2 although not essential.

Any experience of services such as Ethernet leased lines, EFM, MPLS, VoIP, SIP and datacentre services is ideal, but as mentioned, the specific technology is not the key - it's who you are as a service delivery leader within this technical sector.
