ABOUT YOU

You must be an enthusiastic individual educated to degree level in Computer Science, or related discipline with 2:1 or above, with excellent logic and problem solving ability, as well as a high level of written and oral communication skills. You will be highly motivated, with a passion for solution delivery.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

·Educated to degree level in Computer Science / Electronic Engineering / Mathematics or related discipline, with a 2:1 or above.
·1-2 years' professional experience in IT. Ideally working as an application support analyst or similar.
·Strong working knowledge of SQL or Oracle
·Knowledge of one or more object orientated programming language (Java, C#, C++…)
·High customer service mentality / strong interpersonal skills
·Strong knowledge / experience Supporting 3rd party applications
·Strong analytical and problem solving skills
·Excellent time management - proven ability to work to tight deadlines
·Must be willing and able to travel throughout Europe and America.

DESIRABLES

·IT experience working within the financial sector
·Knowledge of financial markets vendor systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·Monitor support tickets and provide second level support with all applicable upstream, downstream, batch, and application needs.
·Communicate effectively in non-technical terms with staff to troubleshoot issues and bring to resolution
·Identify and resolves technical issues with assigned technical infrastructure hardware, software, and work processes.
·Complete service requests in the agreed SLA timeframe
·Collaborate with other supporting teams as needed
·Conduct and configure system based monitoring as needed
