As a Store Manager, candidates can expect both a position with considerable challenges and a high degree of commercial autonomy. Tasked across a full range of operational KPI’s , store managers are expected to maximise sales through effective staff distribution and high merchandising and service standards as well as ensuring correct stock packages and a commercial store layout. Stores for this company are large, high turnover environments with considerable challenges around stock management and require Store Managers comfortable controlling a fast-paced business and able to manage lead and motivate a team of junior managers and their subordinates.
Suitable candidates will have a depth of retail Store or Assistant Store Management experience gained within a fast paced retail business. Your experience can be from Department or Chain Stores, food retailing or fashion or clothing outlets based in either the high street or out of town or you may have management experience from other service led retail businesses where commerciality and customer service are key. Crucially you will possess a rounded management style, be able to work with a variety of stakeholders, and be adept at spotting commercial opportunity and reacting to the needs of your customers.
