This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading agency to deliver some of the largest brand development campaigns across the UK. The role will include liaising with clients and internal project managers to generate and agree specifications for development projects ranging from specific enhancements (taking a few hours) to major feature additions or redesigns (lasting several weeks).

As Software Designer / IT Developer, you will support a large number of ASP.Net web applications, both internal and external, along with a number of web services, windows applications and mobile applications.This role is perfect for someone who enjoys the challenge of a varied day, while keeping up to date with the latest technologies.

Software Designer / IT Developer Essential Skills

  • Strong design skills
  • C#.Net - 3 to 4 years' experience
  • Net - 3 to 4 years' experience
  • SQL (T-SQL) - 2 years+ experience
  • Microsoft Tools
  • Visual Studio 2012
  • SQL Server Management Studio
  • HTML

Being a small team (4 developers), the company remains agile and keep up with the latest technologies, and each team member can have a big impact on the direction the business takes. With all new development, the role also includes internal and external customer training, be that via documentation or face to face.

Software Designer / IT Developer Personal Skills

  • Understanding and experience of software development life cycle and project management methodology
  • Demonstrates a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Good formal and informal communications ability both orally and in writing
  • Flexible and able to absorb rapidly new information / change in plans
  • Familiar with relevant programming methods, techniques, procedures and controls
  • Relevant programming experience
  • Can independently lead and complete tasks and organisation of the department without intervention
  • Is performance driven and can motivate others to be the same
  • Good appreciation of the wider field of IT
  • Experience of medium to large-scale software development projects
