Programmes Assistant - QEPrize
Give our million-pound prize the prominence it deserves
Engineering is at the heart of our nation and our future: transforming ideas and materials into global infrastructure, products and services that increase the wealth and health of our economy and society. As the UK’s national academy for engineering, we bring together the discipline’s finest minds to promote excellence and champion innovation.
The Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering (QEPrize) is an international award offering a million pounds for engineering innovations that deliver global benefit to humanity. QEPrize aims to transform the public profile of engineering and help young people become engineers - and you will assist us in taking it to the next level. To this end, you will support the Programmes Manager in administering the judging process and award ceremony, assist in the running of the international Engineering Ambassadors Network, co-ordinate our high profile competitions, and liaise with senior stakeholders in engineering.
Extremely organised and methodical, you will be adept at project planning, well versed in digital and social media, and capable of operating effectively under pressure. A good understanding of engineering and science would be useful, as would awareness of diversity issues in STEM, and you will ideally join us from a similar position. However, it’s your enthusiasm, drive and determination to make things happen that will count above all.
