Pastry Chef de Partie

45 hours per week (including evenings and weekends)

£20,876 per annum plus share of tips

We are currently recruiting for a Pastry Chef de Partie in our fantastic Ovation restaurant and for Corporate Hospitality functions.

Essential requirements:

The ideal candidate will have the ability to run the pastry section in a busy service, and remain calm when in a pressured environment. You will also hold a minimum of Level 1 Certificate in Food Hygiene and relevant qualification in food preparation.

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for the efficient running of the Pastry section, including food preparation and service

  • Producing food as specified on the menus for that day to the required standard in the required time frame.

  • Catering for special dietary requirements.

  • Producing afternoon teas

  • Communicate effectively with the Head and Sous Chef

  • Help maintain stock storage and rotation ensuring waste is kept at a minimum and all legislation is adhered to at all times.

  • Ensure self and kitchen assistants comply with Food Hygiene and Health & Safety regulations

You should have a positive and flexible attitude, a passion for exceeding customers’ expectations and experience in working to tight deadlines. You will have experience in working in an all fresh food kitchen for a high quality venue and knowledge and appreciation of modern British cooking and current trends. You will have a relevant qualification in food preparation and hygiene standards and good understanding of Health and Safety legislation affecting the kitchen.
