Leading Research Network and e-infrastructure organisation requires a Partner Relations Officer to take responsibility for the delivery of services and play a support role in the account management of partners.


·To act as principal point of contact for its European partners in relation to the service portfolio, queries and supplying the relevant support for partner activities

·To play a support role in the team’s management of the service portfolio and disseminate information to partners, ensuring that they fully understand the services available to them and make best use of them

·To work in close collaboration with partners to oversee and manage the effective delivery of dedicated services for the networks’ most demanding users and provide coordination for European initiatives

·To provide partner relations support to project activity leaders

·To conduct structured requirement gathering e.g. focus groups, interviews and workshop to feed into essential capacity planning and service development functions for partners

·To present the service portfolio and case studies at conferences and exhibitions. To disseminate benefits of advanced network services such as provided by

·To be responsible for the content management on partner portal.

The position involves regular travel mainly in Europe but occasionally world-wide.

Person SpecificationQualifications, experience and knowledge Essential:

·Educated to at least degree level or equivalent experience

·Ability to fluently speak and write in English

·Advanced relationship management, programme management and project development skills

·An interest in, and appreciation of, scientific research and the working practices in the academic community

·Able to function well under stress and to work to deadlines

·Experience in online communication facilities

·Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to successfully engage equally with both, executives and engineering and operational teams

·Able to mediate issues and translate requirements between various stakeholders (technical, commercial, research) and develop a common understanding

·Commercial awareness


·Other Language skills (at least one other language fluently)

·Lived and worked in another country

·Knowledge of the community and other international networking initiatives;

·Knowledge of, and familiarity with, researchers and research programs that can leverage the infrastructure.

·Project Management certification (PRINCE2 Practitioner, MSP or similar)

·Knowledge and understanding of requirement gathering and feedback techniques

·Market research knowledge and experience
