IT Continuity Manager, London, Financial Services, Permanent

IT Continuity Manager required by a leading global financial services organisation located in London.

The Team

The Business Continuity (BC) team guides the business in designing, implementing and maintaining their business continuity plans through the provision of subject matter expertise and industry knowledge/ best practice. When a business interrupting event occurs, BC partners with the business to effectively execute plans to minimize adverse business impact. The BC Team has responsibility for oversight of BC plan testing and maintenance to ensure an appropriate level of resilience and recovery capability is retained.

Required Experience

  • Extensive experience in Senior stakeholder management
  • Significant experience in an IT Resilience/ DR role, preferably in the Financial Services Sector (including DR Testing)
  • BC accreditation from the Business Continuity Institute or equivalent recognized BC/ Risk institute
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure/ architectures
  • Experience of Programme Management
  • Strong management skills and ability to deputise when required for the Head of BC.
  • Experience of working across diverse geographic locations
  • Experience/ ability to work as part of a virtual team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the timely development and implementation of technology resilience/ recovery strategies across key global platforms
  • Integrate best in class Technology and BC methodology, policy, standards, tools and operating protocols
  • Instil program management discipline across the BC team
  • Manage the BC/ DR Governance structure
  • Provide leadership and direction to global resources ensuring effective project and cost management
  • Create a collaborative and high performing team environment where a direct or matrix relationship may or may not exist
  • Educate internal colleagues/ leadership in technology resilience principles and practice, ensuring appropriate awareness of how the BC program contributes to Client satisfaction, growth and retention
  • Ensure technology resilience/ recovery strategies are commensurate with the business risk
  • Assist establishment and efficient running of the BC team budget
