Senior Business Development Manager
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Development Manager to work for one of our clients within the FMCG sector. Due to growth, our client has expanded and created a new Business Development Team and is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to grow and develop new business in line with their financial targets and growth aspirations.
The role will be home based (with occasional visits to head office), covering a client base within the Midlands, South and South East of England.
We are looking for candidates that can demonstrate energy, flare and a passion for business development and have a natural ability to develop and forge new customer relationships. You will be able to work strategically with experience of executing a sales plans. You must have experience generating cold new business through your own leads and pro activity and be able to take these through a full sales cycle through to contract implementation.
Reporting into Director level, the purpose of the role is to gain new profitable business within defined target trade channels, exceeding the new business budget.
The key accountabilities and responsibilities of this role are:
•Identify new sales opportunities, to achieve and increase sales turnover and gross profit.
•To build and maintain a new business prospect list aligned to our business growth strategy
•To actively convert prospect customers into active a realistic pipeline opportunities
•Demonstrate a deep understanding of the customers wants and needs and present appropriate business solution
•Identify key decision makers and influencers within a prospect customer and build long term supplier partnerships
•Negotiate long term agreements / contracts prior to new business mobilisation
Key skills will include:
•The ability to create strong and credible rapport with key customer decision makers
•Proven track record of profitable new business development.
•The capacity to interpret, understand and act upon financial data to achieve customer solutions.
•The ability to create and maintain an accurate new business pipeline
•Prepare and present effective new business tenders and presentations
You will be rewarded with a generous basic salary of up to £55,000 + uncapped Bonus + Car (or car allowance) and additional company benefits.
