2nd Line Support

£20-£22000 pa (dependent on experience)

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to help a growing company increase the professionalism of their Helpdesk service. Within this role you will be providing technical support to customers across the UK, this is a varied role with lots of opportunity to work across many technical areas and skillsets. The core role will be handling escalated tickets from the Service Desk to ensure problem resolution meets SLA guidelines. There will also be server management, patch management, remote support, onsite support and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ticket resolution

  • Server monitoring and management

  • Customer Documentation

  • 3rd Party escalation (ISP, Hardware, Applications)

  • Hardware/Application installation

  • Network troubleshooting

    Technical Skills:

  • 2yrs working experience in Windows server management (2003-> 2012)

  • Solid Windows Desktop experience

  • Active Directory/DNS/DHCP knowledge essential

  • Excellent Microsoft Exchange usage experience

  • Good Networking knowledge essential

  • Experience working with Ticketing systems an advantage

  • Must already be working in 2nd Line/Technical Support role currently.

    Degree level IT qualification

    Good pass grades for English
