IT Service Manager

A huge public sector client of mine has a one-time opportunity as an IT Service Manager to be based at their beautiful head office in North London. 

£50,500 per annum + extensive list of benefits.

Job Description

To proactively manage and develop the IT infrastructure so that it provides a resilient and consistently effective platform to support delivery of the Group IT strategy. To manage a helpdesk function that delivers excellent customer service in line with the Newlon Gold ethos and Group business requirements.

Key Accountabilities

• To play a leading role in implementing the infrastructure and helpdesk components of the Group IT Strategy.
• To provide a comprehensive support service to all customers in the company.
• To ensure the efficient and effective functioning of all IT infrastructure and systems.
• Provide lead technical support of infrastructure components in conjunction with 3rd party support companies.
• Provide effective leadership and management of team members.

Essential Experience

• Team management, ideally helpdesk, service desk or infrastructure support.
• Management of a helpdesk service.
• Management of hardware and software infrastructure including deployment, upgrades and updates.
• Configuration, management and support of at least four:
o Windows Server based infrastructure (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, DFS, etc.)
o Microsoft Exchange Server 2012 +
o Microsoft SQL Server 2012 +
o Citric XenApp or XenDesktop
o Virtualisation technology – ideally VMware vSphere
• Configuration, management and support of:
o Wireless LAN management
o Networking (LAN & WAN)
o Remote access solutions
o Anti-Virus systems
