We have an outstanding role available for an experience Service Desk Analyst / IT Support Engineer (1st & 2nd line IT Support - Microsoft, VMware) to join a dynamic team of IT professionals within an established IT Support company based in Kettering, Northamptonshire. Upon joining this Microsoft & VMware Partner, you will perform 1st and 2nd line technical support on my clients busy IT helpdesk for Server (Virtualisation & Physical) & Desktop issues, for their large portfolio of SME & Enterprise clients.

The ideal IT Support Engineer will have ideally have prior experience working in a Managed services / outsourced IT Support environment (although all IT Support backgrounds will be considered) and be comfortable talking on the telephone and dealing with external customers to provide remote IT Support up to 2nd line level. You will have a good level of commercial Technical Support experience, gained through working on a busy IT helpdesk / IT service desk, and in-depth experience working with technologies including VMware, Citrix, Exchange Server, Active Directory, Office 365, Windows Server and Microsoft Office.

Industry certifications (including any of - MCITP, MCSE, MCSA, MCTS, VCP, CCA, CCNA, VCP, CompTIA A+) would be highly advantageous for the IT Support Engineer, although commercial hands-on experience would obviously take precedence - my client offers future funded opportunities to gain further industry certifications anyway. This IT Support role is based in Kettering and is easily commutable from towns including Northampton, Wellingborough, Rushden, Corby, Leicester and Market Harborough.
