2nd Line IT Support Engineer - £25,000 - Cloud Technologies - Leicester

We are looking for someone to join the Support desk BUT this is a different kind of IT Technician role. Split 50/50 remotely and on client's sites - Different in terms of environment, culture, approach and future progression opportunities.

* Training and qualifications focus on networking, CISCO, VMware and Microsoft as well as Leadership & Management.

Currently experiencing sustained levels of growth regularly generating new internal opportunities. This is no ordinary support desk environment with everyone at second and third line levels of ability. Operating a fully collaborative method of working with knowledge sharing and team assistance being the norm. Teams within the team.

* Excellent Windows operating system knowledge, all versions
* Excellent desktop and server knowledge, all versions.
* Excellent Active Directory (2008, 2012) knowledge.
* Excellent Exchange (2007, 2010, 2013) knowledge.
* Exposure to virtualisation e.g. VMware, Hyper-V technologies.
* General networking knowledge e.g. switches, firewalls, routers.
* CISCO knowledge and experience a bonus.
* Other skills e.g. MAC OS X and Linux a bonus.
* Experience operating at second or third line support within an MSP environment preferable.
