IT Support Analyst / IT Support Engineer - 2nd Line

Up to £28 + excellent benefits.

IT Support Analyst ( primarily 2nd line support), required by a high-calibre and well-known business to join their IT team based in Central Birmingham.

You’ll report to the IT Service Support Team Leader and will provide technical support to several parts of this large and extremely interesting business. IT Services will include desk-based and onsite support (occasional travel will be required).

Ideally you'll have some solid experience as a 1st line or 2nd line analyst / engineer and a good level of competency in the following:

Experience and Knowledge required:

  • Experience supporting Windows 7+10 Desktop operating systems
  • Basic PC diagnostics/Troubleshooting
  • MS Office - 2010, 2013 (and ideally experience with 2016 / Office 365 )
  • Experience of providing 1st and 2nd line support to internal or external staff.
  • Experience troubleshooting printing, PC, laptop & peripheral hardware
  • Experience of working effectively with non-technical stakeholders including senior managers and directors
  • Basic Network configuration/troubleshooting (DHCP, TCP/IP etc).
  • Good communication skills, able to support colleagues face to face, over the phone, or remotely in a professional and patient manner.
  • Ideally you'll have experience of working in an ITIL environment.
