IT Sales Account Manager - IT Managed Services - Birmingham, UK

We are actively looking for a successful IT Sales Account Manager to join a fast-growing and forward-thinking IT Services and Solutions provider in Birmingham. The position will be responsible for establishing, managing and growing existing clients across a range of sectors whilst driving net-new business across a National capacity.

This position would be ideal for an individual who has significant experience in the sale of IT Hardware, Software, Services and Solutions on a B2B level. Experience of transitioning customers from on premise into hybrid or cloud environments would be considered advantageous.


  • Proactively manage and grow existing business across a broad portfolio of IT Hardware, Software, Solutions, Outsourced IT and Managed Services
  • Work collaboratively with internal staff to identify new business opportunities
  • Assess, promote and demonstrate the effectiveness of our IT Services portfolio at off-site customer meetings, trade shows and conferences
  • Consultative selling to understand business strain with ability to leverage ROI of IT Solutions
  • Explain and demonstrate the benefits of a full portfolio of IT Solutions and Services
  • Provide accurate pipeline reporting and manage an effective pipeline of new opportunities
  • Work with partners to detect and close opportunities effectively
  • Build strong and strategic business relationships with current and prospective customers whilst maintaining communication channels

Candidate Profile

  • Proven track record in new business acquisition and account management
  • Experience of working across a range of market sectors and verticals with a focus on SME/Midmarket Commercial
  • Strong exposure to the IT marketplace with a strong understanding of IT Hardware, Software, Solutions and Managed Services at a Sales level
  • Confident and effective communicator with strong experience of generating new business opportunities from generation through to proposal, negotiation and close.
  • Articulate, literate and competent in preparing and delivering value propositions
  • A strong, ambitious and resilient work ethic with a ‘can do’ attitude
