ICT Technician - 2nd/3rd line support
Immediate opportunity for an experienced Technician working in a busy school environment. This is a varied role where you can use your broad range of software and hardware knowledge.
Provide 2nd and 3rd line support to schools staff and students. Carry out routine maintenance of all computer hardware and network services to maintain agreed availability. Respond to and resolve ICT faults and requests through onsite visits and remote support tools, to achieve agreed service levels. Install and configure approved computer hardware and licenced software. Manage staff and student user accounts following agreed policies and procedures.Monitor server back-ups to ensure system and user data is protected and secure.
Technical Skills needed. Windows Server 2008/2012 r2, VMWare ESXi: support, Active Directory: support , LAN & WAN technologies and protocols, including VLAN, wireless, DNS, DHCP " Microsoft Office 2007/2010/2013 suites , SIMS.Net: You will have experience of working in a Service Desk environment (2nd or 3rd line support role). Experience of working in the education or similar sector is preferable.Excellent customer service skills and communication skills, including written and verbal interpersonal skills. and methods. " Have the ability to think creatively and problem solve.You must have a clean UK driving license and own car.
