Person Specification for SEN Teacher

The ideal candidate will be a capable SEN Teacher who has been acknowledged as a 'Good' or better teacher out of observations and experience working with Special Educational Needs and 'English as an Additional Language' pupils. You should have the capability to understand and mould your duties around a proactive long-term plan that will ensure the long-term stability of the school and the pupils.

About the SEN Teacher Role

At this small school, as a SEN Teacher you will be taking charge of a KS2 class which will be decided nearer the time. Your responsibilities will include delivering lessons to classes with no more than 8 pupils and with the support of an experienced Teaching Assistant who will help you manage your class. Your responsibilities as SEN Teacher will include accelerating your career ambitions with access to the schools bespoke CPD programme. Pupils work really well with the resources the school has, especially the Interactive whiteboards, and you will be expected to use them all in your teaching.
