This is an ideal opportunity for an existing teacher or head of department to work in a thriving secondary school as a Head of Physics.
This role is due to start in September and is based in South-East London.
The primary role of the head of Physics is to provide a strategic vision, and secure commitment to both school and department values.
This role would suit a well qualified, inspirational and motivated head of physics who is keen to lead a dedicated and enthusiastic team.
The excellent results achieved by the science department speak for themselves, and leading by example you will guide and inspire the team further. In addition you will be a natural team player with a clear understanding of current and future curriculum developments.
You must demonstrate:
- A successful track record of teaching Physics
- Strong leadership and motivational skills
- The ability to maximise resources and to develop strategies for promoting effective teaching and learning
- Evidence of raising achievement
- A capacity for hard work and to work under pressure
