Person Specification for SEN Teaching Assistant

To be considered you will need to be a who has at least received a 2:1 in your degree and previous experience working with SEN children either in a volunteer or paid role. You will be a success-driven individual who can develop into a role model to children and show care and adapt your approach to SEN pupils. We want to meet graduates who can relate to their students and colleagues and show their enthusiasm for education. You will have excellent levels of subject knowledge and a warm personality which makes your pupils feel at ease.

About the SEN Teaching Assistant Role

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your role will involve you working within a class in KS2. In this post, you will be strengthening the community network as you develop relationships between the home and the school. This SEN Teaching Assistant position involves creating an environment that promotes social development. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be taking on board the advice of a talented Class Teacher who will be helping you develop the fundamental skills that all teachers need.
