My client are a Tier 1 global bank who are looking for an Application Support Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a blend of Big Data tools, elements of this role will be to identify any root cause failures and support their BI applications.

Currently they are building a technology hub of innovation so this is an exciting time to join this business as they want to become a genuine Technology lead. This is a great opportunity to work on Hadoop clusters and develop your skills working with a range of Big Data tools.

Key requirements

- Strong experience in supporting responsive web applications and platforms
- Good Knowledge of at least two webservers (ideally IBM Web Sphere, Glassfish or Apache Tomcat
- Knowledge of middleware technologies (WebLogic, Apache, WebSphere), Splunk, Hadoop, Big Data is an advantage
-Expert in diagnosing and troubleshooting application issues
- Good experience of exposure to languages, Shell, Python or similar
- Able to support multiple priority projects and handle demanding and ever changing requirements of a fast paced company
-Establish new and improvise current processes to handle continuous testing and deployment tools, security/audit tools
-Audit and review Infrastructure capacity review and plan enhancements, develop application specific instrumentation tools
-Ability to lead incident and problem resolution
-Able to partner in large global support teams
-Individually able to manage application life cycle- web platforms, middleware and databases
- Experience within the finance sector
-A good understanding of client server and distributed systems architecture (Clustering, High Availability etc)
- Previous experience of building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
