The Job
The Social Media Manager will lead day-to-day Social Media activities. They will manage the execution of strategic Social Media campaigns and lead on competitor and digital research, reporting, planning and execution of social campaigns. The person will play a key role in supporting the publishing group within the social media team, helping to ensure flawless execution of global and regional publishing and other social media activities such as live events. They will work daily with the brand and digital marketing teams and gain a deep understanding of how social technologies and behaviours impact marketing and communications efforts as well as the enterprise at large (with a focus on retail and ecommerce). The person will be responsible for working with the wider teams in terms of developing the customer engagement and brand strategy.

The Person
The ideal person for this role will have 2-3 years' experience in a similar managerial role, you will be innovative, hands-on and love interacting with members of the wider team. You will be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of social media platforms. You will have a great eye for detail with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment whilst showing enthusiasm and demonstrating excellent communication skills. You will have the ability to prioritise your workload and work reactively and flexibly to the ever-changing environment whilst maintaining an entrepreneurial and proactive approach. You will have a keen interest in fashion and will build a robust knowledge of marketing and innovation objectives enabling you to have a strong understanding of the different steps required in stand-out marketing campaigns. This will include collecting data, creating insights, sending relevant brand and promotional information and establishing a personal relationship with the wider marketing, ecommerce and brand team. Your excellent communication skills and creative writing style will give you the ability to plan and deliver marketing and communications in an impactful, persuasive and tactful way.

The Detail
The key responsibilities of this role are to:

*Responsible for leading global social media narrative and ensuring all publishing tools and calendars are up to date, with meticulous attention to detail
*Manage and work with junior team member e.g. Social Media Assistant in terms of rolling out social media strategy for the brand.
*Manage social media budget for paid campaigns and activities.
*Manage agencies and platforms, managing the briefing and flight management of paid and creative campaigns
*Compile regular reporting on social media initiatives (weekly, quarterly and campaign)
*Lead on all responses to customers across social media platforms and liaise with our global customer care teams to ensure a rapid response rate
*Development of social media and digital initiatives to support key brand campaigns that leverage seasonal creative and key moments e.g. festival.
*Drive brand awareness and generate traffic to the global website.
*Meet with start-up and tech companies to gain knowledge and insight on the competitor landscape and digital trends.
*Liaise directly with the brand marketing, ecommerce and digital marketing teams to ensure alignment re social strategies and initiatives and support with early-stage campaign preparation and concept research
*Work closely with the Digital Marketing team on social media performance campaigns and lead on the strategic roll out of social campaigns.
*Support Customer Engagement team to deliver a pioneering multi-channel consumer journey (with a focus on digital, ecommerce and retail)
*Collaborate closely with the Content Team which includes our creative and marketing teams to ensure timely asset delivery, scheduling and posting.
*Align with Discover blog content in terms of social media initiatives to reflect the overall business content strategy.
*Ensure that you are researching to stay on top of current trends in social media and technology and contributing to platform strategy evolutions and campaign development
