Senior Accounts Assistant - Guildford

Key responsibilities:

  • To support the Finance Manager in the day to day administration of the accounts.
  • Prepare timely account settlement and accurate account reconciliations.
  • To help ensure that the client ledgers are maintained.
  • Support the production of monthly management information for internal and external parties.
  • Support the production of the monthly management accounts.
  • Provide administrative support and information, liaising with colleagues throughout the company.

Key duties:

  • Production of monthly statements and payments
  • Reporting line by line detail to colleagues
  • Posting Income
  • Applying receipts to accounts and liaising with colleagues to resolve any related queries
  • Liaising with colleagues to resolve issues and queries
  • Support the reconciliation of the Accounts - Payable and Receivables
  • Support credit control - Preparing chasers and dealing with accounts on stop
  • Responsible for accurate processing of raw financial data and any applicable analysis as required
  • To be responsible for the accurate completion of the cashbooks and perform bank reconciliations on a regular basis
  • Follow financial policies, procedures and controls that conform to generally accepted accounting principles and meet regulatory requirements
  • Petty cash management
  • Credit card reconciliation
  • To support the production of the monthly management accounts
  • To support the annual audit process
  • Prepare ad hoc reports as required by management

Technical:

  • Strong knowledge of Sage 50
  • Strong Excel skills

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years in finance role

Qualifications:

  • Relevant finance qualifications
