Trainee IFA Level 4 Qualified
Trainee IFA, 35K, Guildford
Your new company
Fancy working in a spectacular, newly refurbished converted farmhouse on the outskirts of Guildford? If so, read on. One of Surrey's fastest growing IFA firms is renewing its job search for an office-based Trainee IFA. The company is struggling to cope with the sheer volume of business it receives, and thus requires an ambitious Paraplanner keen to make the step up into an Advisory position. The firm specialises in giving whole of market financial advice to clients on investments, pensions, protection & inheritance tax planning.
Your new role
For the first 12 months, you will be shadowing and supporting the Company Director and Associate Director, attending client meetings and working in a Paraplanner capacity. Your duties will initially include product research, suitability reports and conducting cash flow modelling sessions for clients. During this period, you will learn the business processes, company systems and service proposition whilst experiencing first-hand the role of an Adviser. After a year and once 'Competent', the firm will then look to help you build a bank of clients, develop a strong working relationship with them and deliver a first class ongoing service. From this point your duties will include meeting new and existing clients to conduct an assessment of their assets/liabilities and circumstances, producing clear and concise financial assessments and working closely with assigned administration staff.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a base salary of £35,000 plus a benefits package which includes up to 25 days holiday, 2% non-contributory employer pension (matching up to 3%), study support and a discretionary bonus. After 12 months, when CAS, you will be eligible for a lucrative commission structure. Free parking is available to you. The offices are also a short 10 minute walk from a nearby train station.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be Level 4/Diploma Qualified and have at least 12 months' Paraplanning experience.
