An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Alpheus's Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) operational team as the Asset Performance Lead, based on GSK's site in Irvine, Scotland.

As the Asset Performance Lead for the GSK contract, you will take the lead in developing the maintenance strategy from reactive maintenance to optimising the assets performance. You will develop and deliver the strategy, design, planning and implementation of asset maintenance at the WWTP on one of GSK's flagship sites. You will have the opportunity to design new full life asset maintenance plans, develop capital expenditure plans and lead the delivery of these on the ground.

You will form an integral part of the operational and management team and be a dynamic, forward thinking and determined achiever. Taking an immediate and longer term view of the assets, you will coordinate planned and reactive maintenance work on site, primarily using team mechanical and electrical resources but also organising contracted expertise where required. In particular, your goals will be the sustainable compliance to the permits for treated effluent discharge and odour and to the optimal performance of the Anaerobic Digester (AD) plant.

The safety of our people and of contractors carrying out maintenance work is paramount and you will help deliver a culture of excellence by taking the lead as the key interface for H&S between GSK and Alpheus, advocating Alpheus and GSK H&S policies and procedures at all times.

You will have a key role in promoting a positive and proactive relationship with the client, and drive to achieve the highest standards against audits, quality assessments and working practices such as 5S. Working closely with the management team you will help deliver the contract's KPIs, seeking to exceed the customer's expectations. You will deputise for the Operations Manager when required.

The successful candidate will be educated to a Further Education level or equivalent and have hands-on practical reactive maintenance experience, especially in pumps and motors. Supervisory or management experience would be advantageous though not essential, as would an understanding of waste water treatment technologies and processes.

You will have excellent communication and organisational skills and have a flexible attitude towards your work, including occasional on call and weekend working. You will be a team player who is able to adapt to change and challenge where required. With a pro-active and positive attitude, you will be forward thinking with good analytical, IT and customer service skills.

Interviews to take place on the 7th or 8th June.
