Sales Executive - Specialist Steel Products
Location - Harrogate
Hours - 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday
Salary - Negotiable up to £28,000, depending on age and experience

My client is a European stock market listed steel producer, stockholder and trader. Their UK head office is based in Harrogate and they manage all UK activity for the various solutions that the group offer.

They currently have a need for internal sales staff to work on their stockholding and trading desk, selling imported steel products to steel distribution companies and end users. Working directly under and reporting to the General Manager, you will deal with incoming telephone enquiries as well as contacting existing and dormant accounts to maximise business opportunities. You will work alongside other experienced sales staff as part of a successful team, and you will be encouraged to work together to achieve departmental targets as well as reaching individual goals.

The successful candidate will have the ability and willingness to contact customers on a proactive basis, with the intention of building relationships and becoming a preferred supplier. You must be highly motivated and organised, with excellent attention to detail. Steel experience is not necessary, but would be advantageous, as full product training will be provided.

Summary of duties
*Answering incoming sales enquiries
*Pro-active calls to customers to generate business
*Providing detailed quotations by telephone, email
*Order entry
*Managing account list on CRM (credit limits, company information, key contacts etc.)
*Liaising with Supply Chain team regarding deliveries
*Handling customer complaints relating to faulty / damaged goods
