What you will do:

  • Chase outstanding contribution payments and documentation (by phone, post/email)

  • Arrange and liaise directly with Employers for refunds of overpaid contributions

  • Calculate interest payable and issue invoices accordingly.

  • Authorise and check payments using internal software

  • Reconcile contributions payments against relevant breakdown information and contact the establishment with any queries.

  • Update Establishment records using the internal software (closing steps, entering notes etc.)

  • Reconcile the bank statements receipts daily into the individual Establishment accounts.

  • Answer any incoming queries in relation to contributions work via phone, email or post.

  • Communicate with all stakeholders in an effective, efficient and professional manner.

  • Meet all deadlines for the provision of financial information, payments and administration

  • Process complaints at the earliest opportunity with a positive attitude, addressing the true root cause and implementing effective corrective action in order to prevent reoccurrence

  • Complete daily housekeeping to record SLA target figure results

Your experience will include:

  • Minimum Grade C or above at Maths & English GCSE

  • Strong Excel skills

  • General finance / accounting knowledge ie, debits / credits, general ledger

  • Some experience within a team focused, office environment

  • Ideally studying AAT, or similar, or looking to commence studies (not essential)
