JustOT are looking to recruit an experienced paediatric specialist occupational therapist to work across three specialist school sites across East London and Essex full-time with a social enterprise.

Pay: £31,500 - £42,000 (Band 7)

Essential: HCPC registration

Our client educates young people between the ages of 7-19 years with SEMH needs or an Autistic Spectrum Condition. For over 17 years they have delivered an industry-leading package of education, health and care, in high-quality, small-group education settings where a high ratio of adults to pupils enables young people to engage with learning.

As an experienced OT, you will offer a safe environment for individuals & groups to explore, address and deal with personal & social difficulties. You will provide a specialised contribution to the clinical assessment & psychotherapeutic treatment of children, adolescents & their carers. You will be expected to use existing knowledge and theoretical frameworks in a creative and innovative way to address highly intricate clinical situations that will differ for each patient.

The complexity and challenging needs of the pupils who attend the schools will constantly impact on the therapist and the therapeutic relationship and the work is therefore highly skilled and specialised, demanding of the therapist advanced clinical skills at post-graduate or equivalent level and a high degree of skills in self-management and multidisciplinary team working.

As an OT, you must have:
- A degree in occupational therapy
- HCPC registration
- Evidence of successful completion of specialist short courses up to master's degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience
-Substantial experience of working with children with emotional, behavioural and social difficulties
- Substantial experience of working with children with highly complex & high risk presentations.
- Experience of working with children who are on the Autistic Spectrum
- A high level of experience of multi-disciplinary & inter agency working
