Sheridan Maine Public Practice has been entrusted to appoint a business critical Partner Designate job within a flourishing accountancy practice. This highly unique opportunity has been created to further drive client growth in sustainable way and ensure the companies double digit growth performance can continue.

The partners of this entrepreneurial firm are all 'big four' trained and are looking for Practice trained accountants (ACA or ACCA) who are keen to remove the constraints of a larger firm and feel empowered in a true meritocratic environment.

The firm have been in existence for around ten years and have now grown to five offices with highly successful lines of services within Audit, Tax and business services. Their client base ranges from small limited companies through to 130 million turnover businesses that still enjoy a highly true client led partnership approach to doing business. The Firm have a number of enviable technology initiatives that will truly stand them apart from their competition and consolidate their position as one the best 'small practices' on the South coast.

This highly varied role will pervade every area of the business and have both an external and internal focus. Some key deliverables of this unique role are as follows:

- Ensuring the Partner's client work and client communication is managed and completed in a timely manner through the firm's managers, teams and departments.
- Setting and implementing budgets for all assignments, ensuring, as far as possible (and allowing for circumstances within your control), that budget expectations are met and realised.
- Actively control and monitor progress towards all filing and other deadlines, ensuring that responsible staff are engaged in delivering their work before the deadline.
- Reviewing tax computations (income tax, corporation tax, capital gains tax, VAT, national insurance, etc.) and prepared management accounts for correctness, accuracy and good presentation.
- Dealing with (in conjunction with other Partners) Partner correspondence, telephone calls and emails during Partner absences (including holiday and sickness).
- Supervising staff reporting to, or seconded to you.
- Interacting with colleagues at all levels in different teams and the same team to ensure that they deliver their responsibilities in a timely manner.
- Actively participate in marketing and client development programmes.
- Take an active part in CPD training.

The firm is looking for a highly talented and ambitious accountant who is currently operating within the Audit vertical but is keen to expand their horizons into Accounts and Tax. The role would suit an individual who is qualified and operating at Manager level in a top ten firm.
