So what's the job?
As a Pastry CDP you will be part of the pastry kitchen team, helping producing perfect replicas of the dishes created during the tasting - regardless of the numbers needed. You will work on site and help the team build desserts but you'll also understand that working in these fabulous venues isn't always easy and can be very challenging. What skills do you need to be a contender? Ok, so to be considered for the CDP pastry role you don't need to be an actual alchemist but you do need to work at the cutting edge of techniques within the pastry sphere, and be able to demonstrate at least two year's experience doing so on top of your initial training. You need to be passionate about style, beauty, and substance - and you will need to love using the most fresh and seasonal ingredients available. You will need to be able to produce your food at volume, and on site, whilst working alongside a team. You will be a team player. You will set the standard. .
