Engineering Sales Executive

Technical Sales Executive - Plastic Injection Moulding

Due to continued growth our client is looking for a hands on Technical Sales Executive with great people skills to join their existing, successful and busy team.

The business is engineering, plastic injection moulding equipment, specifically hot runner sales. They are the largest in the world and are very well established, profitable, knowledgeable company and are an excellent long-term, career employer to work for.

Whilst the employer would delighted to see previous experience of field sales and territory management within a similar type of business or relevant industry they do not feel it is essential if the applicant can demonstrate a flare for sales and a relevant background. Therefore this role might suit an engineering graduate who wants a career in sales or someone with a technical / mechanical / electrical / toolmaking - such as a plastics processing engineer or similar technical background who feels field sales would be a suitable career role.

The Job

  • To manage the existing customer base and increase the earning potential of the area through excellent relationship building and consultative sales.

  • Some new business generation.

  • A large diverse customer base with an area covering Oxford, Swindon and Reading.

  • This role is sometimes 'hands on’, often working with Engineers on site so be prepared to roll your sleeves up.

The Person

  • All applicants must be able to drive and have a full license.

  • All applicants will need to be able to demonstrate some sales abilities.

  • The ideal candidate will have experience of plastic injection moulding, tool making or a relevant engineering background.

  • Hot runner sales experience would be an advantage.

  • Applicants would ideally be living in the Swindon, Oxford or Reading areas, covering the M4 corridor 'patch’.

Salary and Benefits

Salary: c£36,000 dependant on relevant experience

Bonus: Payable quarterly in arrears after probationary period.

OTE: £40,000 - £43,000
