Are you a passionate and committed Psychologist who is looking to join our multidisciplinary team?

If yes, this is the role for you! CAS Behavioural Health is a UK provider of specialist adult services in mental health rehabilitation and learning disabilities. We work in close partnership with the NHS, providing a step down service for NHS patients detained in secure facilities or acute settings. Our emphasis on intensive rehabilitation provides clients with a step-by-step programme to return to the community or suitable long-term placement.

The Manor Hospital is a 20 bedded locked door rehabilitation service which specialises in the assessment and treatment of men (aged 18-65) diagnosed learning disability and who present with challenging behaviour and co-morbid diagnoses. The Views is a 10 bedded locked door service that also specialises in assessment and treatment of females diagnosed with learning disability. Both hospitals provide a multidisciplinary treatment programme designed to assist patients with their return to the community.

Job Role

In this role, you will provide a high quality psychology service for men and women with learning disability and behaviours that challenge within an in-patient setting. You will take a lead in the design and implementation of individual and group psychological treatment programmes. In this role you will be responsible for both services and therefore you will need to have good time management and supervision skills to oversee and support the Assistant Psychologists across both sites.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will be a qualified Clinical or Forensic Psychologist and ideally have experience in a comprehensive range of psychological therapies, risk assessment, training and supervision.
Experience of working within in-patient services would be an advantage however support is available for newly qualified psychologists.

The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team is key, along with organisational skills, resilience, confidence and motivation. Above all, you will be someone with a genuine desire to help others.

Specific Requirements

A full UK driving licence with access to own vehicle is essential, as you will be based across 2 sites.

We are committed to safeguarding and protecting the people within our care. All candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS and reference check and an offer of employment will be subject to successful clearance.
