Junior Sous Chef
Set in 475 acres of beautiful Lincolnshire countryside there is no doubt my clients Hotel is in a stunning location.
With 136 bedrooms, conference facilities for up to 550 people, a restaurant, bar, state of the art gym facilities & not to mention our two golf courses and tranquil Spa.....there is certainly plenty to keep them busy! So whilst their guests may come to unwind and enjoy themselves, there team is working hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience. The Hotel, grounds and facilities are varied and distinctive, so there team need to be the same.
They are looking for individuals who are flexible team players who can use their own initiative, adapting to any situation, ensuring every guest who walks through their front doors has the best possible experience.
What you'll be doing:
As Junior Sous Chef you’ll support the Head Chef in leading, inspiring and motivating the Kitchen team to provide exceptional service and food at all times and to make sure that their customers are wow’d by their food experience at QHotels.
They like individuality, and not just in their people. Their menus are created at each hotel by their Chefs’ inspiration and imagination using local suppliers and foods- no company standard menus for them! Just kitchen teams who want to create and cook what their customers want to eat and who really can’t do enough for their customers.
The role of Sous Chef will also involve you using your skills and experience to coach and develop kitchen team members to achieve their full potential.
Deputising for the Head Chef in their absence, as Sous Chef you’ll also need a good understanding of cost and stock control to ensure department targets are achieved.
They’ve plenty to keep them busy producing great food for their hotel lounge, restaurant and room service, as well as their events and wedding business.
What you'll need:
- To be passionate about every aspect of food and cooking
- To enjoy the buzz of being busy
- Excellent spoken English
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills to include a sound knowledge of food GP’s and profit.
- Excellent working knowledge of Health and Safety.
- Determined and Enthusiastic
- Proven track record as a successful supervisor in a similar role with NVQ level 3/4 or similar level qualification preferred
- Level3 Food Hygiene qualified
