PQ Reporting Accountant job opportunity for international business in central London. £35k + study support

Your new role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially minded, confident and driven individual to join their Financial Reporting team based in London.
You will be working as the PQ Reporting Accountant where you will also get involved in treasury projects. You will report in to the Finance Manager and supervise 2 staff in the team. You will be involved in the month and year end process with full review of the P&L and Balance Sheet completed within 8 working days of the month end. Other duties will include:
- Prepare SOX controls for financial reporting
- Monthly reporting submissions
- Responsible for reviewing holding entities held in the UK
- Supervise 2 staff completing banking processing tasks such as statement reconciliations
- Cash-flow forecasting
- Prepare Balance Sheet schedules
- Preparation of statutory financial statements for assigned legal entities that comply with local GAAP requirements
- Audit - provide support, deal with queries and provide required schedules
- Forex - review hedging policy
- Review bank reconciliations
- Project - work with FX consultants and Forex Broker to improve treasury operations to enhance cash-flow forecasting capabilities
Train AP team to provide improved data for forecasting
You will be working on MS Dynamics Navision, Excel and Hyperion to complete your work.
What you'll need to succeed
You must be an ACCA part qualified accountant to be considered for this role. Ideally you should have experience working for an American business or a least have exposure to SOX compliance. You should be confident and have effective communication sills for project work and dealing with queries. It is essential you are proactive and motivated to progress to be successful in this role. The ideal candidate will have worked for an international business, dealing in multi-currencies, and will have 2+ years experience working on statutory accounts and have exposure to treasury operations. You must be able to complete VLookUps and Pivot Tables on Excel. It is a bonus if you have trained and supervised staff.
