Our client is a long established law firm based in Taunton, Somerset that specialises in all forms of Personal Injury and Clinical negligence work. Job Role

The role of the Personal Injury Fee Earner is to obtain compensation for clients who have suffered to the negligence of others. Fee earner cover a wide range of areas such as work place accidents (employer liability), public liability and motor or road traffic accidents. Caseloads can vary in volume and complexity, ranging from fast track to multi track matters.

To manage a caseload of approximately 100 to 150 files. Those files will be a combination of portal, fast track and multitrack.

Pursuing claims through pre and post-litigation stages, making full use of our case management system.

To comply with the Directors expectations of time recording and financial targets.

To develop relationships with new clients, medical experts and counsel.

To work within a team environment to provide relevant input to cases.

Secretarial and admin support provided.

Requirements

Previous claimant personal injury case handling experience.

Knowledge of the CPR and litigation procedures.

Initiative and dexterity of thought: cases re rarely straightforward.

Compassion and empathy.

A good mathematical, analytical brain.

An ability to thrive under pressure

It is desirable to have a knowledge of case management systems.
