I have a corporate city based client looking for a catering assistant on a 6 month FTC

Main responsibilities,To provide a food and beverage service to all boardrooms, internal and client meeting rooms, and seminars in the hospitality area · To organise sandwich lunches, cold buffets and hot buffets on request for client and internal meetings · To prepare and lay up for evening client events and be prepared to work at these events · To regularly ensure housekeeping duties are kept up to date both in the pantry and hospitality area · To always observe health and safety guidelines and other policies within the catering and hospitality areas · To replenish all stock of teas, sugars, soft drinks, etc., plus other items as directed by the Catering Supervisor · To keep the room booking system "Condeco" up to date · To constantly plan and prepare ahead, for example ensuring where possible that the following day's workload is prepared in advance · To perform any other duties assigned by the Catering Supervisor from time to time, where such duties are reasonable in relation to the employee's skills, abilities and status Education and experience · Minimum of six months' food service experience · A good working knowledge of food and beverages · Previous experience of working in a similar environment · Silver Service experience · Food hygiene level 1 or 2 certificate 6 month fixed term contract Monday to Friday 9:30am - 5:30pm with additional flexibility as required to cover sickness, holiday or evening events Salary is up to £18,000 per annum, depending on experience.
